ArtMINDS: Minority Inclusion via Digital Storytelling

The main objective of the project is to equip adult education with new methods for the inclusion of ethnic minorities (e.g. Roma, refugees and migrants). Through intercultural exchange and the active involvement of the target group, their cultural heritage and the positive influences on the majority population through various possibilities of digital storytelling will be brought to the fore.
Kick-off meeting in March in Eisenstadt with numerous interest groups and representatives of political parties in attendence.

Project objectives & content

  • Promoting intercultural exchange
  • Strengthening the social inclusion of minorities by developing digital skills
  • Enhancing the self-efficacy and self-confidence of minorities by valorizing their cultural heritage
  • Improving educators' skills in intercultural learning approaches and digital storytelling
  • Establishing an online platform with 30 digital stories as a “museum” of the positive influence of minorities on the cultural landscape
  • Reinforcing social cohesion by involving minorities in the project
  • Members of minority groups gain self-confidence and develop a stronger sense of belonging by appreciating their cultural heritage
  • Educators can improve their intercultural and digital skills, thereby creating a more inclusive learning environment
