enROMyou – Enhancing Roma youth work

The project aims to establish a transnational network of youth and social workers working with the Roma community. With the significant participation of Roma youth, the focus will also be on collecting and promoting the exchange of different perspectives, experiences and approaches and formulating targeted solutions. These will be summarized in a handbook and made freely available to the general public.
Kick-off meeting in Eisenstadt in June 2024. Partner organisations from Burgenland, Vorarlberg and Salzburg report on their work with Roma youth.
Project objectives & contents
- Establishment of a transnational network of youth and social workers
- Active involvement of Roma youth in the form of a survey
- Exchange of experiences and approaches to better awareness-raising
- Strengthening the capacities of (Roma) organizations
- Learning and benefiting from the approaches and perspectives of colleagues
- Collection of new methods and instruments in youth work
- Development of a manual with best practices and concrete recommendations for political decision-makers and interest groups
- Building a network of Roma organizations for future collaborations
