Mag. Feri (Franz) Janoska

is a high school teacher of history, psychology and philosophy. He has more than 20 years of experience in the field of education, not only with children and youth, but also with adults, mainly migrants, whom he has taught in various subjects at different adult education centers. Feri Janoska is currently the chairman of the Roma Adult Education Center Burgenland (Roma VHS) and is responsible for national and international projects on topics such as inclusion, diversity, minorities and sustainability.

Andreas Lehner

works interdisciplinary as a visual artist (painting, sculpture, art in public space), museum and exhibition designer.
Important stages include the organization of the “Sidewalk - Wiener Neustadt” project with Tadashi Kawamata (1996); the installation “schnee stock parade” in Oberwart (1998); project management for the cultural documentation and touring exhibition “ROMA 2000” (2000); development of large areas of the “European Museum for Peace” in Stadtschlaining (2000); the museum development and design of the “burgenländisches geschichte(n)haus” (2001) and the border experience trail (2011) in Bildein; the museum development and design of the Hartberg Museum (2008); “apropos paradise” installations and stagings on the Paradise Cycle Route Südburgenland (2015), etc.

Horst Markus Horvath

grew up in Neudörfl and has lived and worked in Oberwart since 1986. After his apprenticeship as a toolmaker, civilian service, then educator in the Pöttsching children's village and labor market supervisor for the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs with the task of work and social projects for the long-term unemployed - first women's counseling, renovation courses - Schlaining Castle, Güssing Castle, Cselley Mill Osilip, Wiesen festival grounds, Oberwart Youth Center - Open House Oberwart, first Roma association, women's counseling center, etc. Co-founder and chairman of Offenes Haus Oberwart, the R.E.F.U.G.I.U.S. association, of the edition lex liszt 12, the first Austrian Roma association in Oberwart, the children's festival Burg Forchtenstein Fantastisch, the Roma adult education center Burgenland, the eu-art-network as well as active and co-initiator of peace, environmental and third world movements, anti-nuclear movement, day of action against fascism, Roma Oberwart association, SOS-Mitmensch - in the main coordination team for the “Lichtermeer” and much more.

  • 1997 “OSMAN” for social and youth workers especially for Roma
  • 2002 Award for adult education from the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Culture for the digital documentation on Roma “ROMA 2000”
  • 2003 Decoration of Honor of the Province of Burgenland
  • 2012 Regionality Prize of the Burgenland district newspapers for publishing activities
  • 2013 “Martini Prize” from the Burgenland weekly newspaper BVZ in the culture category
  • 2017 “Oberwarter Wächter” for 25 years of voluntary work at edition lex liszt 12
